Gail has been delighted to be able to photograph many community, family, spiritual and arts events, and fascinating people; for local organisations, private individuals, and fun over the years. She is particularly interested in citizen journalism and the recording of social history, has had many photographs published by Devizine and other websites, and recently one in The Guardian, and is the official photographer for The Fulltone Orchestra.
About the exhibition
‘Devizes & Beyond’ is a collection of original poems in traditional forms and digital photography inspired by life in Devizes and the occasional foray into the world outside.
The exhibition covers eight areas of life from shopping to spirituality and is a colourful and poignant snapshot of what it is to be human in this beautiful place and brief moment of time, and the physical and metaphysical journeys we take on different forms of transport and through life itself.
With a nod to conflict and the odd laugh, this cute and existential exhibition is one person’s view of what is wonderful about the world and the community we live in.
